Weslaco police arrest teens for car theft and smuggling ties

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an auto theft at the Hidalgo Port of Entry, the Weslaco Police Department reported.
Kimberly Silva, 18, and Lesly Alonso, 19, are charged with theft of property, a third-degree felony.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by ValleyCentral, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, authorities responded to a vehicle theft at the 1000 block of W. 10th Street.
