Man arrested in El Paso for multiple catalytic converter thefts

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso man was arrested and accused of stealing several catalytic converters throughout the city, according to police.

Officers arrested 24-year-old David Earl Hardy.

Officers from the department's Auto Theft Task Force apprehended Hardy on the 1400 block of Goodyear.

He faces three charges of theft, each involving catalytic converters valued at less than $30,000 to replace.

Hardy was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Judge Moore set the bond for each charge at $2,500.
