Tulsa-area contractor faces felony charges for $1.2 million embezzlement

CREEK COUNTY, OKLA. (KTUL) — A Tulsa-area contractor is facing felony embezzlement charges after being accused of taking more than a million dollars from customers.

Charges were filed on Monday against Todd Douglas Briggs, who operates T Briggs Construction and Oasis Pools and Outdoor Living.

He's accused of taking more than $1.2 million from 17 customers for home or pool projects he never completed or never paid subcontractors for, according to an investigation by Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Consumer Protection Unit.
