Valuable ID of Farm and Construction Equipment
Ohio law enforcement requested NICB assistance in the investigation and identification of allegedly stolen farm and construction equipment which had their product identification numbers (PINs) and/or vehicle identification numbers (VINs) removed. NICB agent was able to identify the equipment and trailers and conducted additional database searches facilitating the identification and recovery of equipment and vehicles which were valued at approximately $185,000. The case principal was indicted on six counts of receiving stolen property in Lake County Court of Common Pleas. On August 5, 2020 the case principal plead guilty to the indictment, and on September 14, 2020, the case principal was sentenced to 48 months in prison.
