EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police arrested an auto body shop owner on several counts of "deceptive business practice."

According to the El Paso Police Department, on Jan. 16, investigators with EPPD's Auto Theft Task Force arrested 41-year-old Emmanuel Cervantes for two outstanding warrants for "deceptive business practice with previous conviction."

Police said the investigation then revealed Cervantes was allegedly using a vehicle he was supposed to be repairing as his personal vehicle for his personal errands.

Police said this discovery led to the additional charge of "unauthorized use of a vehicle."

Furthermore, police revealed that on Jan. 22, Cervantes was re-arrested on two more warrants for "deceptive business practice with previous conviction."

Cervantes was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

A combined bond of $120,000 was set for all five charges.
