As Californians begin to rebuild following the devastating wildfires, NICB believes unprecedented levels of fraud will be attempted and/or committed. Join us for this panel discussion led by industry experts to gain valuable insights into the complex world of fire investigations, the varying forms of fraud that may occur during the fire recovery process, and the vital role NICB plays in protecting these at-risk communities.

Ray Duncan 

Ray Duncan, NICB’s Director of West Region Operations, has over 30 years of experience conducting complex criminal and national security investigations, including global financial fraud and money laundering cases. He is currently serving as key resource for sharing information  to media outlets to spread the word about fraud in LA, and he brings his vast knowledge to our CAT Fires panel. 

Chad Brown 

Throughout his seven years as an NICB special agent, Chad Brown has been instrumental in supporting member companies and law enforcement alike during crucial investigations. His experience in law enforcement and investigation brings valuable perspective to our CAT Fire panel.  

Scott Slagle 

Scott Slagle has served as an NICB Special Agent on cases as diverse as towing fraud and catastrophic fire investigation following the devastating Maui fires. His varied experience in the world of insurance fraud provides him unique insight for CAT Fire attendees as one of the conference’s key speakers.
