Tim Constien
Mr. Constien is the Chief Claims Officer for the American Family Insurance Group. He joined the NICB Board of Governors in 2021.
In his current role, Mr. Constien provides strategic and executional leadership for American Family’s Claims function, serving all Brands. He is accountable for leading the group in customer operations, technology, claims product management, financials and delivering on the vision, mission, and values of the organization.
Mr. Constien joined American Family in 1991 after graduating from Carroll University with a degree in business administration (Finance/Economics). His career with American Family includes various positions within Claims, including Personal Lines Claims Vice President from 2008 to 2014. In 2014, he assumed the role as Personal Lines President and American Family selected him as Chief Customer Officer in 2016. He returned to Claims in 2018 to lead the formation of the AmFam Group Claim team.
Mr. Constien and his wife live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin with their son. He serves on the elder board for Peace Lutheran Church and School and is the Corporate Chair for the Arthritis Walk of Dane County. He and his wife are also active in the United Way of Dane County as Tocqueville members.
