Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia Opens First Insurance Assistance Hub Following Hurricane Isaias

DESTIN, FLA. – Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia traveled to Destin to open the first Insurance Assistance Hub just 36 hours after Hurricane Isaias made landfall. This is the fastest an Insurance Assistance Hub has ever been established following a hurricane making landfall. The Insurance Assistance Hub will be open again tomorrow, October 12, 2026, and will remain open for several days. Hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “Floridians recovering from Hurricane Isaias should not have to navigate the insurance claims process alone. That is why my office has put our foot on the gas to establish an Insurance Assistance Hub that can provide residents across the Panhandle with the support they need during these challenging times. This resource will help policyholders navigate the claims process, get answers to their questions, and take the necessary steps to rebuild their homes and move forward.” 

The Department of Financial Services, Division of Consumer Services, is hosting the Insurance Assistance Hub to help Floridians file claims regarding storm damage. The Hub had 12 insurance carriers attend the first day, and additional carriers will be attending in the coming days. Representatives from the Division of Consumer Services are also available on-site to answer insurance-related questions.
